Consistently learning from others is the best motivation to challenge your limits.― Dario Lucarelli, Filmmaker in Prague
The initial quest to launch a business is simple, but the quest itself is the difficult part.
As an entrepreneur, everything will be solely upon your decisions. While it is easy to gain motivation, it is also easy to lose it. There may be setbacks, slow progress, missed deadlines, all of which can cause someone to have little to no motivation and self-doubt.
Unlike other motivation articles, this is the most realistic mindful article with proven results curated from dozens of the greatest motivational speakers and successful entrepreneurs of all time. – Spoiler alert* they all have one thing in common..five to be exact.
And NO, we’re not going to give you the spiel, on how you should set goals and write your affirmations 55 times a day for 5 days(..although it is important)! However, those are efforts that will become easier in time once you understand the real key to staying motivated and consistent.
It is important to first know your habits. Then evaluate your self-reflection habits and reassess them regularly to make sure it is working for you effectively and successfully.
Now, reboot your mind and begin the process of what we like to call, The “5R’s ritual”: Rest, Reflect, Responsibility, Relationship, and Reward.
REST & RECHARGE
Knowing when to rest is just as important as knowing when to work. Remember that working to build your dreams is a big deal! And it will take up a lot of energy, time, and dedication which will leave you feeling drained some days, both physically and mentally.
When this happens, just take a moment to rest and recuperate. You’ll start to notice the big difference how a simple recharge will improve your day-to-day life and allow you to be more productive and resourceful.
What does it mean to reflect on yourself? To reflect means to better understand your true image by taking the time to ask yourself important questions that will define who you are. You’ll start to think deeply about what it is you truly desire, and the kind of person you would want to be in the future for yourself, and the people around you.
When you look at yourself, what do you see? How do you feel about your life?
What could you get excited about, if you want to be excited in your life?
RESPONSIBILITY – Take Control of Your Conditioning
Stop complaining, stop waiting for someone else to come to help you, and stop blaming others.
You are responsible for your own life and only you have the power to make your own choices. By knowing you have control over your state, you decide to not let the negative events to define you. Whatever you see in yourself, it is important that you take responsibility to become that person to produce those results. You will take responsibility for what it is that you want to create and find a more empowering meaning in your life.
When you have someone to love, people to care for, passion in your work, this is the greatest motivation anyone can ever have. You have something to look forward to each day, a reason to wake up every morning, a reason to be grateful, and more reasons live your best life.
Use your influence to build connections with the right people and stop investing in the people who drain your time and resources. Invest in the best version of yourself and your inner circle.
When you start to see the results – in other words, the things you talked about are being supported by your work, remember to show self-appreciation by giving yourself a personally meaningful reward for the work you’ve done. Setting up this type of personal reward system is a wonderful psychological tactic to train your mind to associate motivation with pleasure, a good and satisfying habit you’ll want to keep for life.
